Hi,

Can i check whether Hardisk  drives are free or not ,using ProcessRobot

Best Answer

In order to retrieve the size of a folder, please consider using the following cmd command:

dir /s <FolderPath>

Please refer to the following link for more details on the "dir" command:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/dir

Please note that, when working with files, you may use the built-in property ".Size" of any File variable. Kindly refer to the "Advanced Topics > Variables >Data Type Properties" chapter of the Help File for more information on variable properties.

Hi Vidyanand,

In order to check the hard drives' size and free space, you have a number of options.

One solution would be to automate a process where ProcessRobot will open the UI and check the properties of a hard drive using UI/Windows actions.

A much quicker solution would be to use the command prompt, and type in the command "wmic logicaldisk get size, freespace, caption", which returns a list of the installed hard drives, their free space and their total size (in bytes).

Hi Romanos, Thanks for your response. Will the above solution be applicable to determine folder size and file size within the folders. What command can provide the desired results?
