Execute SQL queries to Microsoft Access


Access files consist of tables. We can execute SQL queries to those tables, using the "Database" Actions.

You can check the following sample queries. The relevant Access file is attached below.

  • SELECT * FROM [Students];
    Students represents a Table within the selected file. It needs to be included in square brackets.

  • SELECT [Full Name] FROM [Students] WHERE [ID] =1;
    Our Columns, Full Name and ID, need to be included in square brackets.

  • INSERT INTO [Books] ([Book Name], [ID]) VALUES ('The Odyssey', 4);

  • UPDATE [Students] SET [Full Name] = 'Leonardo N' WHERE [ID] = 3;
