case insensitive CSS selector

Hi,

how to create CSS selector that would be case insensitive?

I found that the flag i before ] should be added (e.g. div[id="myid" i]) but it doesn't work.

I will appreciate any help.

Hello Wawrzyniec,

Please note that CSS itself is case insensitive, but selectors from HTML (class and id) are case sensitive.

There is indeed a way in CSS4 which adds support for case-insensitive match (ASCII only), like you said.

However not all browsers support it, i.e., Chrome (since v49), Firefox (from v48), Opera and some others have it. IE not and Edge not yet.

Please try implementing your process in a chrome environment.
