Error Connecting to Email Exchange Server

I have just upgraded from version 8 to version 9. I have a robot that runs on a daily schedule which connects to our email exchange server.  When using v8 I had no issues, however since upgrading, my robot is now very temperamental. 

Since upgrading to v9, some days it connects to the exchange and the process runs smoothly, most days my process crashes at the stage when it connects to the exchange.

Has anyone else had this issue / any suggestions?
