In order to successfully run SQL queries on a 32-bit Database using a 64-bit machine, follow the steps below:

  • Download the .zip file from this link.

  • Extract the contents of the .zip file on your desktop.

  • Close all WinAutomation windows, and exit WinAutomation from the system tray (bottom right of the screen) by right-clicking on the WinAutomation icon and selecting "Exit".

  • Right-click on the executable file called "ForceDotnet32bitOnExeFiles.exe" and select "Run as Administrator". This will handle all the configuration changes needed in order for 64-bit WinAutomation to be able to perform SQL queries on 32-bit databases.

  • Restart WinAutomation.

All SQL Actions should now be running correctly.

In order to revert back to 64bit, we can run the TurnOf32Bit.exe (please find attached) as administrator and specify the root directory of WinAutomation (by default it's C:\Program Files\WinAutomation).
